Need a bit of assistance...

I am a firm believer in the Secret/LOA etc, and also believe that our past actions make up our present day reality, but our present day actions inform and create our future.

So, here I am. I'm in debt (by quite a bit of dough), I'm in need of being a bit more healthy and my job right now is not at all where I want to be.

I can see the light with my debt; I'm turning my health issues into a series of small short movies... but my job is really irking me.

I took the job because I was in debt, and it has helped me to stabilize the debt, but for what I should have been paying off - well, I haven't. And now I'm in this job that is probably the exact opposite of what kind of job I'd like... I'm an executive assistant, and I hate being tied to a desk, and worrying about calendars. I have coworkers that are less than supportive, and a boss who seems to set the tone of a lack of trust throughout the office.

Er.

I guess my question is - maybe to ask for some thoughts to pull myself up by the boot straps? I am doing pretty well in other areas of my life (money/ family/ friends) but when it comes to work I just freeze. I try to find the positive in my job - but I feel as though every day is trying my patience just a little more.

I've also tried throwing a nice violet (not violent!) bubble around me, deflecting negative energy, but I'm just down trodden. HALP!>?

Well - this is an interesting turn of events.

Work mate who has been causing me nothing but grief, is resigning.

That doesn't quite speak to the fact that my job itself isn't 100% cool, but it helps! WOOO!

Well looks like you have something GOOD to focus on now! Just keep focusing on the GOOD and what YOU want instead of the things you don't want that are going on all around you. It's not easy, but it's neccesary if you want to get what you want! Take any little shred of evidence that your desires are being manifested and hold to that and use it as your excuse to look for more and more! It doesn't matter how hard it is, the fact remains, to GET what you want you have to FOCUS on what you want, period. What you resist persists! Because you give it your attention. Simple, but not easy huh? You are gonna be just fine! Use this latest developement to feel good good good! And look for more more more!

Update!
Work seems to be evening out now, which is awesome and I've decided to take a week off to just get a few personal things done. Yay! Time off!

But also, I had an interesting experience with a non-profit that I volunteered for on their board. It has been like pulling teeth to get them to recognize that there should be some change in the structure of the organization, and this came to a head recently when our financials weren't being approved by our Finance Committee, but instead going straight to our board. As Treasurer that wasn't cool with me. So we had a bunch of talks, I was happy that the Board was going to be taking positive steps to ensure that someone else wouldn't experience what I've experienced. However, by the time it got to the Board meeting, most of the solutions were watered down, anything requiring a financial commitment (even though we have a surplus right now of $15K and will have a windfall of $40K in the new year) was put off.

I wasn't pleased. I wrote a note to my board members. They took it entirely the wrong way, and I just followed up with a simple reply, "My main concern was ensuring someone else didn't have the negative experience I had. If the Board is happy that they are addressing these concerns on a move forward basis, there isn't much else I can do. I am unwilling to put my energy into a group where my intentions are construed as negative".

I am working today to mentally bless the group and wish them all the best on continuing on, but I'm done. I was awarded a grant from the organization to work on a film, and I will be doing just that in the next months.

I can't get caught up in what I think they think of me. I know that what I was hoping to see changed was for the better, but I'm not willing to put my energy into something that isn't positive.

Of course this all being said, this is the last of this that I will speak of because it is negative. GACK!
