everyday I struggle with negative feelings but I'm usually able to pivot until I find either a peaceful place or a really good feeling place but right now I'm kinda panicky about my diet.. I try to keep to a certain diet so I don't break out.. but I find its almost impossible to keep up with cuz almost everything is known to irritate acne.. I cut out dairy, salty snacks, foods with iodine or hormones which cuts out everything lunch meats, eggs, bread, red meat, now I'm being told not to eat sugar which includes things like rice which turns into sugar and many sauces! urgh! I could feel good throughout the day until it comes to my diet then I feel the anxiety and all the questtions start to flow.. like if I start to feel good and eat anything I want.. what if I still breakout.. or maybe I could just eat things that make me feel comfortable.. but then isn't that still giving attention to it? I know I'm thinking too much.. but that's where my mistrust in the power that I hold and the power of the universe comes in.. I don't know what to do and everyone is telling me how unhealthy I look due to this diet and my stress levels are so high! =(

It sounds as if you are wrestling with some pretty significant anxiety symptoms. As someone who has also had experience with anxiety, I have these suggestions: 1. Make sure that you are not resisting or suppressing your negative thoughts and emotions. The key seems to be to allow them to be there while simultaneously looking for other better things to give our attention to. I think it can be very easy to make the mistake of thinking that if we have the negative stuff at all then we're messing up somehow. I've used this analogy before, but try thinking of your negative self talk as an overly opinionated friend or relative that you love, but never really give much weight to what they say. 2. Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) www.emofree.com or do a search for EFT on youtube for video demonstrations. 3. It has been really helpful to me lately to be able to identify the physical symptoms of anxiety (for me usually a tight feeling in the chest) and just say to myself (sometimes over and over again), "My body is doing the anxiety thing right now, but I know that in this moment I am safe." 4. I also sometimes use the Sedona Method, where I ask myself for permission to let go of the core issue(s) for now (by core issue, I'm referring to the Sedona Method's assertion that every negative feeling we have has at its core three possiblilities: wanting to approve or be approved, wanting control or to be controlled, and/or wanting security/safety).

Lena,
You might want to check out the Louise Hay book called You Can Heal Your Life. It is uncanny sometimes what it says about ailments. I have found it to have cured some pretty significant things in my life. Have you by chance read Ask and It is Given by Abraham-Hicks? If not that might be a good one for you to read also. It appears from your page that you are an Abe follower to some extent. This whole thing sounds fairly "upstream" to me!

You say everyone is telling you what to do, STOP, STOP! listen to the voice inside you, you know yourself better than anyone else, find your bliss, do things that will eliminate stress in your life, take care of you, nurture you, write a list of things you can do everyday to make you feel good about you, positive affirmations is one thing, eat fruit, veges, water, herbal tea, eat whatever you like, but be conscience that the food is nurturing you, healing you, meditate on your healing and say to yourself everyday that you are the perfect weight for your height, believe it and you will see it, good luck, take care of you.

Instead of looking at the symptoms...................Let's look for causes.........................

Your nervous system is in constant panic mode......... It is called Sympathetic Dominance.........Fight or Flight.... The cause? Food intolerances......................More on that later..................

Problems with thyroid, heart, liver, pancreas, and adrenal glands.......Whew! Cause? Lack of minerals (mainly magnesium) and food intolerances.

As far a s food................Eliminate 100% of gluten, milk (cheese and yogurt are OK), potatoes, eggplant and Red/Green peppers...............Eliminating 95% will only bring minor relief...100% or don't bother.

Go to : http://www.bodybuilding.com/store/now/magc.html and order 2-3 bottles and start taking 2 tablets, 2 times a day for 30 days.......after 30 days, cut to 1 tablet 3 times a day and remain with those until further notice...................many months if not permanent.

Hi Lena......My girlfriends's young daughter had acne sprouting up on her face....so I looked in a home remedy book....found that avocados are great for treating acne and other irritating skin conditions....

So I took a 1/2 avocado and mash it into a paste, added a very small amount of vitamin E oil for better consistency and apply it to her face like a mask.....It has been working really well for her.

Avocados are rich in Vitamins A,C,E, and B...all essential for healthy skin...also they are strong in antibacterial and antifungal properties.

Your story sounded so familiar to me. I had so many break outs before I knew the Secret, today I have a perfect skin. You would not believe how much time, money and energy I was putting into this. Today I’m using simple oil free face wash 2 a day. When I watched The Secret (DVD) for the first time and in the part when they talking about visualizing a small cup of coffee, well I visualized myself with a perfect skin. I would say to myself in the mirror every day how beautiful my skin is over and over again. And I wasn’t just saying it, I really believed what I was saying. In about 3 days I was not getting any new break outs and in about 4 weeks my skin cleared completely. My family members couldn’t believe their eyes. Guess what, it work for my flat hair too and it worked for a 25 pound I lost since there. I’m looking better now in my 30, when I was 18.
FORGET THE FOOD LENA. Control your thoughts, power your mind. I would recommend you to educate yourself about visualization. Meditations help as well. If you begin to understand that you are not your body and that body is only outcome of your thoughts you WON.

and to debbie i went into the louise hay group and someone was kind enough to tell me what she says about acne.. how amazingly accurate although i do know my cousin is horribly conceited and she has acne also at least she did.. it went away.. maybe she didnt like herself for awhile there..

Just found this today. Maybe you already are past this, maybe not. I struggled with the same thing for a long time myself. I recently had a hair analysis done from www.realPNC.com which gives you a report that tells you exactly what you need to eat more of and what to avoid, for your body. The hair tells you what your body holds on to. That means it also tells you what you are deficient in.

I was amazed at the results. And I was very surprised. What I found out is that sometimes you can have trace mineral deficiencies that cause your body to not metabolize things the right way. So you can get a build up of some things and be deficient in others. I was told I need to eat more meat in order to bring my body into balance.

Psychologically, I am also amazed that I have been able to follow this diet. Because finally, I know it is coming from what MY BODY is telling me and not some theories, or diets that worked for somebody else -- or even for a lot of people - who all have different bodies.

that's an interesting list of what you're not supposed to eat...so with that, how do you know what you can eat??

make a list three times as long of all the things you feel comfortable eating, that are good for you, that you enjoy. why should you care for what you can't eat? care for what you can eat. and when you have that list, go out and fill your fridge. fill it to the rim. yum. enjoy!

ps i'd be curious to see what kinds of yum you have on your list...:) personally i'd have grape juice, celery (yes i love that stuff), chicken breast, tofu (yes i love that too), grapes, melon, plums, tomatoes, carrots for when i get the munchies, peppers to roast in the oven with some olive oil, butternut squash for a yummy soup, edamame, strawberries...

yum, imagine cooking with all of that mmm...oh and you can check out fruits that are lower carb/sugar as well....

another thing i'm curious about...which idiot told you that you NEED to follow this diet to avoid acne and whatever it is you're avoiding...and after using the word avoid...consider what you want to achieve...screw avoidance...

and then regarding your stress levels...do you exercise? because that works wonders!!! happiness levels off the chart baby! there's a "sport" out there for everyone...even if it's dancing alone in your room in front of the mirror....yeah baby...

when stress is involve that makes you break out. instead of doing diets just eat what you like but just eat them in small portions. i have allot of diets and took diet pills but nothing seems to work. the only thing that was given to me was a tea named Zendo Tea and you drink after every meal. maricela
