How Will You Take Your Focus From What You Are Against To What You Are For This Week?

This is a major time in the USA for the political
process.

All the candidates have said they will say what they are
for rather than attacking the "other guy".

But they don't seem to really do that.


Abraham-Hicks says:


"You can't take sides against anything.

If you would just be one who is for things,
you would live happily ever after.

If you could just leave the "against" part out."

I have to admit that while I believe in this concept , at
times it is not always easy!

As I watched the Democratic and Republican conventions I
realized how much better I keep getting at it.

Instead of wanting to pick apart the group that was "for"
things I was against, I really was able to see how THEY
really believed and were "for " them.

And I moved my thoughts from being against to what what I
"prefer".

And the one I vote for is the one that has more things
that I am excited about and prefer.

I have found it much easier to use the idea of
"preference" as a great bridge in bringing me away from
what I am "against".

WHAT YOU PREFER THIS WEEK?

UNIQUENESS
RESPECT
and CLARITY

Bummer about the Reptile thing tho, Marcy. Kinda funny and weird too. There has never been one post of yours (that I've read) that had anything to do with name calling, or finger-pointing.

Credibility can't be destroyed by an oversight.

Heehee! Marcy, as soon as I read your email I got a giggle out of the "reptilian" and I knew immediately that that was not what you meant to write. I have been around you long enough to know that you would never make a comment like that on purpose! But ya know, it sure is interesting seeing how different everyones perceptions on that were! Now there's something else to think about.
Goldenbutterfly, I agree 200% with you! I am using my intuition on this one too. Seems like no matter what the arguments and explanations I hear, I keep going back to what I feel in my gut, so that's how I'm voting. And ya know, it really doesn't matter how any of us vote because we are gonna get what the mass consciousness is ready for one way or the other. So I say if everyone goes with their gut, then it will end up being the highest good for all! Wooo-Hoooo!
Yep Marcy, I've been working on that. Knowing what I am against, and letting that help me decide what I am for, and then putting my energy into that! Two thumbs up on your email, even with the "fubar" LOL!

High 5 Skirl!!! You speak the truth! And Marcy, I didn't notice any mistakes. Actually, isn't there a saying that there are no coincidences? I'm not for or against anyone's decisions, but I believe everything is what and where it should be. The key is in the end, go by what you feel is right, typos or not.

Living Together Differently

We tend to gravitate toward people who are the most like us, at least in the ways that make us feel comfortable. But life has its way of bringing us into contact with people who challenge us with their differences. It may be an obvious difference reflected in their outward appearance or an invisible but powerful philosophical stance, but even in our closest circle of friends and family, there are those that confront us with their different ways of experiencing and expressing life. We can choose to resist , but we can also choose to learn from them and appreciate that they too have a place in the kaleidoscope of life.

As much as we may say that we want peace and quiet and a life without struggle, the truth is that human beings are, at this time, thriving in a world of dualities and challenges. It is how we choose to approach these hurdles that determine if we sail over them, confirming our agility, or trip and end up face down in the dust. And each of us absolutely will and must stumble, and then get up, brush the dust off and carry on. This is how we learn and grow, developing depth of character and shades of understanding. In a world of dualities, we have trouble defining ourselves without something opposite, and can’t discover who we are. Without challenge, there is nothing to do and nothing to discover. That leaves us either in a state of non-being or the state of pure spirit, but as humans, we are spiritual beings experiencing the physical world in all of its startling contrast and beauty.

No matter how spiritual we are, our lives will have challenges. We will always run into people that are different that we are, but the true challenge may be in finding ways to be at peace with this process. Rather than give in to the fight or flight response that comes from our animal nature, we can find new ways to evolve together into higher more beautiful expressions of ourselves, realizing, embracing and celebrating the beauty of diversity and the strength it offers for the future.

I want to manifest British Citizenship for dog and myself. I'm for that.

Somehow I missed the Reptilian comment. Maybe it's because I agree, or maybe because I would prefer something totally different from what is out there. I would be for a US monarchist party.

And shorter US elections.

I thought the world would be a much different place when I was younger and it is scary when I look at it through current events.

So, I try to listen to as much non-US news as possible.

Also, I am curious as to why the Palins named their children something (Bristol) which means breasts in British slang. Well, actually ruder.
