Only if you get very into it emotionally, and put a lot of emotional energy into the singing of the song. Then you would be in alignment with the opposite of what you want. If you are emotionally detached, then no, it probably wouldn't have much effect.
Another thing is if the song has a lyric (particularly a negative one) which you keep singing and repeating over and again. It can sink into your deeper mind, just like an affirmation and create negative scenarios for you.
If you were already feeling it emotionally then you might have attracted the song in the first place. In which case you better change your focus.
This is such an interesting post.
I feel like movies and music do affect our manifestation. I spent a lot of my youth listening to terrible love songs and watching terribly wrong movies and manifested all that. The good news is that it is all reversible once you stop engaging in it and start actively redirecting your thoughts in the right direction. At first, it was hard. Because positive songs were not as enjoyable at first. I missed the drama too. It seemed boring and dull and even unrealistic. But I eventually became okay with that and found good movies to watch.
I see this all around me. My friends who entertain a lot of drama experience it in their daily life. And those who are too oblivious to any complicated stuff have almost no issues.
The good part is that this was very easy to change. Changing playlists and watchlists is so much easier than monitoring thoughts. Yes, there was a self-awareness component to it. I had to consciously stop myself from starting imaginary arguments or playing unwanted dramatic scenarios in my head. I still have to do that, but it has gotten so much easier with time.
