Everything that you think is true is a lie. In fact truth does not exist. It is just a concept, a word. Everything that you hold to be true you have actually made up. Every good thing and every bad thing. So keep on making up good things and stop making up bad things. You have the power to make everything exactly the way you want it to be.

My husband and I always speculate about just this. We take it a step further. That he has made me up and then I argue that I know I am real so he must be made up LOL!!

(We do this about once a year to make ourselves laugh.)

But do we, as the "lie," if we are also made up, then have the ability to choose what we make up? What's the nature of this lie? If we had the power to make everything up as we wanted it, then why can't we seem to do it?

So then we must be a Higher Self, making this up...but we just don't know exactly what we're going to make up next.

I did not make up that I had the perfect evening at dinner and the "This Is It" movie. Michael Jackson made that up and I said, True! (He is the most consummate artist I've ever seen. He knew everybody's part, planned his concert to perfection, and treated every human being with love as he imagined it all. He talks to people like we try to on this forum, with pure love. It's very difficult to vibe anything negative in his soul, which makes me wonder about the police that hounded him and if any of it was true.

I love this discussion because I'm also going to make up that everything remained perfect when I came here and looked for joy on the forum. :-) Now, because of this discussion. I'm back in joy. No, it doesn't make sense to me, either, Mary Ho. But somehow it worked. Let's just keep making up happy days, if we can just keep control of that.

i'm trying to devlope a charater. I don't know how to tell a story. I only know how to "be" the story I want to tell. Petty Tyrant is a character. I am being that charater from Carlos's book because i can't write my own story. In doing so, i am conquering my own evils - stalking my own petty tyrant - and hopefully i can pull it off in a masterful way... I'd also like to try on the Granny Weatherall character because i love Katherine Porter... but that's down the road... and in all of this i am practicing my writing skills.

I heard a story from a friend who was treking in Nepal and happend into a small village that housed Budhist exile monks from Tibet... I think he had a laptop and a a DVD of "Terminator"

While watching the movie, a monk reached over and grabbed my friends arm and asked "is this real?"

Ah! At first I thought you were trying to be ironic such as my username, but that's pretty interesting though. I used to have a blog where I pretended to be one of the characters from an Applegate series. That is, until that forum went completely to poop.

LOL, I didn't mean you had to stop. I probably should have added that the forum was a gaming forum and I demanded a rebellion b/c the moderators were purposely abusing their powers and generating flame wars. I don't think you have a problem here, but why not bring your fantasies into reality? That would be really cool.

I like the concept that we make "everything" up, but I dont 'feel' that instinctively. I feel that WE collectively made the World, the trees, flowers, earth and the physical bodies that we occupy and that we ALL experience these things in the same way. The only thing that we 'make up' is our perception of these things. So I think we can change how we perceive things and 'see' the world as happy and loving and kind but only when we learn not to react to other peoples creations with fear or horror or disgust or pity.

I never really subscribed completely to the "I created everything, the wars, the child abuse, the poverty, nor indeed the computers, the Art, the philantropists !" I think each person 'creates' their perceptions of each other, but some people do create very negative things like wars and poverty and we can choose to 'join in' their creations by what we think and feel about them, or we can choose to distance ourselves and if anything just send LOVE or healing to them, but I dont think we can change them, we can influence them, but they have the right and the free will to 'create' their own reality.

What we can do is Not give them energy by getting sucked into thier negativity and sooner or later they fade out of our arena, but they are still there. And just as we can let the negative peoples fade out of our arena we can bring the enjoyable ones or those whose inventtions we love closer to us and so enjoy not just our own 'creations" but other peoples 'creations".

If we really did create only what we want, we might find ourelves alone again ...... most of us want other people in our world, and since they are creators and have their own desires, we will always have to 'compromise' in order to allow that interaction. So we are back to the value of 'contrast'.

I like to believe that we are 'real' in this reality and for these 80 or 90 years, ....and then we are real in the spirit sense in the spiritual reality ......hmmm I think I really really really like the word REAL !
