Happiness is different to different folks................so what makes you happy? Where do YOU want to be? The only thing I can truly tell you is that there will be exactly what you WANT and are VIBRATING where ever you go. Health, Happiness, perfect weather, realationships.........new resturants will open to give you what you are craving, stores will open to sell you what you want and you will always be just as safe as you think you will be EVEN in the hood!

temperate climate - snow always surprises us and doesn't last long
college town
whole food paradise with stores that folks in the large cities come down to
several vegetarian restaraunts - I think there are some vegan ones too, just not my thing so I am not sure
university art galleries, a couple of small private ones
nature - huge river runs through town and the whole area is just green, an hour away from the ocean, an hour away from mountains, an hour away from natural hot springs.....if you got an hour, you can see a lot of nature! =)
Not sure about the job market here. I think it depends on what you are looking for.
