Oh I love your song choices there.
Really inspiring. KT is a fun feelgood song. Darren again, modesttreasure reminded me of the greatness of the song, it's got really inspiring lyrics.
I love The Rose too, it was the song played at my Dad's funeral. Beautiful song.
Ash - True Love 1980
Well, I think the universe was calling this song to me. I am a huge Ash fan, one of my favourite bands. Anyway a few days before they returned with a new song I just started playing them a lot because one of their songs came on random...then a new song came out and I loved it. I was thinking how I'd seen them live in 2007 and 2008 but not 2009 then they announced a tour. I wasn't going to go then my friend texted me to let me know and persuaded me to go see them. It was like the Universe was giving me something good to me as it knows I like them.
And I've been loving this song and it's only dawned on me that the lyrics define everything in my life now 'Before you knew a world of pain. Before you learned to be afraid And lived through times so cruel But you can start again'
The chorus just captures what I'm feeling right now about the subject of love and in particular the person I love 'I've been trying to discover. Something that can last forever. We're two fools who stand divided. You and I should be united. True, true love'
I just feel we're meant to be together, but we're being so foolish and not just opening up and going for it, like in the song we had our chance before and it was so innocent now we've felt pain and became afraid and that's stopping us again...but we both seem to know in our hearts it's us 2...unfortunately we're apart at the minute and that's sort of stringing this out...but yeah, I just feel the whole song is about me and I'm more in love with Ash and the Universe than ever.
