About - A World of Thanks - The World's Largest Thank You Card
Do you know to whom I’m referring?
Has a friend, family member, or spiritual adviser given you guidance, support or encouragement when you were at a crossroads? Has a nonprofit organization provided you with financial or other resources to see you through a time of need? Has a teacher, coach, mentor or scout leader provided you with the tools to achieve a higher level of success and happiness? All too often, we don’t have the forethought or the opportunity to express how much we appreciate those who have made a difference in our lives.
Whether they risked their lives for us or were simply there to listen when that’s what we needed most, these everyday heroes helped us become who we are today. They are the true essence of the human spirit, and for that, we offer them “A World of Thanks.”
Starting on November 25, 2010 (Thanksgiving Day), we will begin to assemble the world’s largest thank you card to recognize and celebrate these everyday heroes (Note: People may start posting thank you messages on the card during the Pre-launch period starting on January 1, 2010 - New Years Day). This thank you card will serve as a time capsule for people to explore and enjoy for generations to come.
No matter who you are or where you live, it is free for anyone to include their message of gratitude on this thank you card. In sharing these messages, we not only inspire others to take action, but we provide them with a wide range of ideas and information to help them create their own positive change in the world.
“A World of Thanks” was inspired by, and pays tribute to everyone who understands the importance of recognizing and celebrating those who are taking positive action to make the world a better place.
It’s easy to get caught up in negative events taking place around the world. This is why making a difference, through even the smallest acts of kindness, is particularly important today.
I encourage you to join us in showing appreciation for these remarkable people, companies and organizations. Include your message of gratitude on the world’s largest thank you card, and share it with your family and friends.
