I have just brought the book and it looks a good read.

I understand ego as a 'process' and part of an internal guidance system and understand what some would call 'ego death' to be a transformation of the ego, from a process in a internal guidance system that is unconsciously controlled from without to process in a internal guidance system that is consciously guided from within.

This is what I believe coming from your spiritual centre means or following your heart. Both statements are dynamic and imply movement, both also imply a movement that is being navigated by your soul.

So Eckhart Tolle appears to be speaking about a process in an internal guidance system that has become dysfunctional and one that needs healing, not killing off! :o)

This is a bit like Jung's model of integration, as he also speaks about the personality turning inside out.

Is soooo good to find a community of deep thinking and caring souls....best intentions to all Steve

This books timing was absolutely perfect! Has changed every moment since to a beautiful magical life! Amazing indeed how we attract exactly what it is we need at the right moment....

If there is anyone on this planet that is fully awake, aware and alert, it has to be Eckhart Tolle. To me at this "stage" of my evolution, it is the simplest, most basic Truth, and he is the most powerful and yet humblest person I know. "My" husband and I experienced the 10-week webcast Oprah and Tolle sponsored and it was so beautiful to me. Tolle has a presence that can be felt so strongly. He's the real deal.

I have the book The Power of Now and the seccond CD is the greatest for me because of the meditation that is on it. I play it over and over. Enjoy, sandy

Hi Annmarie....I haven't listened to it yet but I have downloaded the interview with Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor from itunes and have it on my ipod. I'm looking forward to listening to it. I will let you know my thoughts after I listen to it.

I just listened to Eckhart Tolle's interview with Oprah from her XM radio show. I so enjoyed it. I can't wait to listen to it again.

I just finished listening to the archived show Oprah did with Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor on her Soul Series-----POWERFUL stuff, she is a remarkable woman (Dr. Jill Bolte Taylor)-she is the living and breathing example of everything Eckhart is teaching in The Power of Now and A New Earth. I just ordered her book and can't wait to read it "A Stroke of Insight". Has anyone read her book yet? Did anyone get to hear or see her on Oprah Soul Series? I would love to know what you think........in love and light!~Annmarie

I did this online through Oprah's web site, bless her heart for putting it on. This book has a very interesting concept and I enjoyed and respect Eckhart very much.
