"A New Pair of Pants Lesson"
Today I had to get out a new pair of pants. which normally would not have near the impression on that my life now lately manages to show me.
But the old pair was worn through and torn beyond one more trip to the sewing machine. When the thought struck me how much changing pants, clothes, jobs, ideas and habits all have in common.
Something gets worn out, unrepairable, too big, or too small and we all have to make a choice of some form or fashion.
Most of us do not get near as upset of frantic over a new pair of socks or underwear...its just something that needs to be replaced. Though sometimes you go to the store for the same pair of underwear, lo and behold that fabric is not used any more, the brand you have been using since forever has gone out of business or changed names. So you have to try a new style, take the starchy stiff feel out of the pants, tweak, shake, smooth, and sometimes wash the new items 10 times till it feels right. But you do it, you get comfortable with it, you feel so good cause it fits you. Wow...what one new pair of jeans can do for once soul when you really listen to the universe.
