My name is Jo Ann I have raised 2 fabulous sons and have a beautiful grand-daughter, and lovely in laws. I consider parenting to be the most important job on the planet and in our culture the least valued. This tool helped me so much I just want to share it here.
How many of you have found "The Virtues Project", or read "The Virtues Guide" this one is by a Canadian couple (Popov's) and transformed my parenting skills and changed so much more for all of us, it is such a blessing I just want to share the info, I can get their first book at my local library, if this can help just one person it will be good, Blessings to us all

I don't have kids, but I am blessed to work with them,
I love my little class.
I spilled some little blocks, manipulatives, and with no asking or verbal prompts, the two children who were right by me, on their own started helping me pick up the little pieces. I was really touched by that, four year olds, I of course said thank you, and told them they were amazing people.
I have a student who is does not want to participate, and because I am not the boss of that, he has to comply
and I have tried so many different things, I don't know how to help him
I can't blame him for not wanting to conform, but he has to in this setting,
follow the rules... he is mostly a loner,
