Me
You never understand me ,
you never even try,
you never know the way i feel.
or know the reason why.
perhaps i ought to tell you,
or try to make you see,
your'e destroying all my confidence,
what's wrong with being me?


The calm of the water,
the glint of the sun,
makes relaxing easy now all work is done,
when your heart is heavy,
and your wearing a frown,
go down to the river and sit yourself down,
the blue of the sky, the song of the birds,
will bring peace to your heart ,
till your at peace with the world.

"An Awakening"
by Susan R. Woodward

A blithe fairy released from a three-decade slumber
Awoke in a blossoming rose--
Fear and despair
Had trapped her there,
Escaping from all her woes.

Till one day there came a Lady fair
Who discovered a withering bloom--
She tended and fed
The flow’r in its bed
Dissolving the spell of gloom.

It flourished under her tender care;
The pain of the past washed away--
The rose opened wide
With the fairy inside
Bringing hopes for a brighter day.

She smiled and she stretched and she tested her wings,
Lightly touching the blooms of her bed --
This Celtic delight
Was prepared to take flight
And she circled the Lady’s head.

“How can I thank you?” the fairy proclaimed.
In reply, the kind Lady smiled--
“It was not only me
Who set your soul free--
‘Twas the love for our Inner Child.”

hi everyone im new here i love poetry though the standard here is way out of my league i think, i started writing alot 18 years ago when my first husband died but those poems were written when i was in a very dark place i have posted two of them on my blog if you would like to read them this poem is a much lighter one written at a better time.
A Moment Remembered.
Another wave breaks and creeps up the sand,
if i stretch out my arms it touches my hand,
i let myself float in the peace of the day,
compleatly at ease with no thoughts in the way,
my body's caressed with the warmth of the sun,
as i lie here and watch the kid's having fun,
they run in the waves, and build in the sand,
fantasy castles, from fantasy lands,
the candy floss clouds are nowhere in sight,
through a bright clear blue sky, the sun's shining bright,
the beautiful peace the untroubled mind,
helps me to let my body unwind.

As I reflected upon God, the Tao, and the teachings of Abraham this morning, I was inspired to write the following poem and then to share it with all of you.

Cosmic River
Majesty and nothingness
Endlessly flowing through all time and space.
Born of absolute stillness,
Bestowing infinite grace.
A cosmic river, upon which
We are the captains of
Unsinkable ships;
Navigated soley by the current,
Which leads to eternal bliss.

A moon so full, a moon so bright,
A moon that shines its radiant light.
It shines upon people and among all living things,
A special meaning to all is what it brings.
A meaning of emotion such as the sharing of love,
Is our special gift to each other because it transcends from above.
Even hidden by the clouds it will still emit its glow,
Which will guide individuals with those lessons they should know.
Those lessons they will learn will fulfill their peace of mind,
By teaching them to accept each other as one special kind.
