You bet Jonathan! I couldn't have expressed this better myself. You just HAVE to attract from your soul, not from your ego. My new mission on this site (see my response to you on your page) is to try to help everyone understand how to attract purposefully, at the spirit level.

If you can understand that the universe is a living intelligence and that we are the head and heart of this body Earth, then you must see that your actions are not separate from your environment nor the environment separate from your actions.

I'm not against fulfilling desires, so I don't want anyone to think I'm playing high and mighty and saying you can't enjoy a materially comfortable life. But what I do want people to think about is this: What is ENOUGH for me?

Nobody will ever find the answer to that unless they base their happiness on inner purpose.

Okay, let's tag team!!! :-)

This is such a big question Melody for me - I encourage you to raise it on LOA forum. If I was to try to sum up the difference between ego and soul attraction (that is action for "ego" or "soul") it would be this...

What I want for myself may be the most fulfilling and I would be grateful for it be that extra money, relationships and beautiful things. So I would give my energy into manifesting these things.

When I truly know how my life can fulfill others then I know my dream will fulfill me even if it costs me all I have in my giving. But I know that when we are open to life flowing through us for something bigger than my needs alone then Life is creating something I can be a part of that will fulfill me in ways I cannot imagine!

But this is what LOA is all about - when we are identifying with source energy (or life in full flow) especially when we listen to guidance such as from Abraham-Hicks.

The BIG leap forward we can take is to also know that ´earth+nature´ are not outside either - but a reflection of our inner life and that we are all a part of the great chain of being or of life itself and so then we begin to know our higher purpose which, as I understand it, is to take care of our earth+nature, become care-takers of our home world + our back yard and to meet our needs more from that than from the great shopping catalogue!

So then we live - as you say - with simplicity and enough!

I'm so glad this group is on PI (thanks for beating me to it! LOL) where so often it seems it's all about using LOA to get MORE...more money, a bigger house, etc, etc. All "ego" stuff in my opinion rather than "soul" stuff.

I left PI for a good amount of time in my frustration and turned to the Voluntary Simplicity movement. If none of you have heard of this, I recommend checking out the book Voluntary Simplicity by Duanne Elgin. It's a holistic approach to life, where the focus is on inward riches and outer simplicity.

Anyway...where I see the connection between sustainability and LOA is that we are here to fulfill a divine purpose in this life. I don't mean that in a religious sense, but more in a psycho-spiritual sense, in that we're here to grow over each lifetime. Using LOA to accumulate things in order to feel better about ourselves is not the answer, and as long as we are disconnected from our inner purpose, not only will we have a hard time manifesting those things, we won't be satisfied even if we do.

Just me 2 cents. I look forward to seeing how this group develops!!!

When you hear about "ecovillages" what comes to mind? Do you think ecovillage and living communites are a natural step for the likes of the PI community folk? I can imagine that it will. For me living the experience of source energy through the law of attraction has to come full circle from our environment back into our hearts.

Okay, really good to connect with you all. First thing I love your comment Susan, the animals and the rainforests are so important. "I am also saving Susan in the process" says it all ´cos there is a whole world in me and in you and if we get that bit right naturally the We´ll be right with the world and the world will be right with us.

Sustaining the flow, caring + being part of nature. I know when we feel connected the positive and the abundance happens. Energy, people, the basics we need. How does it flow for you?
