I just joined with this group. I am a beginner in Taro. I bought my first Taro cards (created by Yury Shakov -Russian Tarot of St.Petersburg) about month ago.I am happy about these cards, because they work for me very well. I use on interpreting"Gut beraten mit Taro" by Hajo Banzhaf. I read that book in Estonian. I will be happy to find a good Taro book in English as well, because I would like to learn English. May be anyone can recommend me some book for beginners.

I'm sure any number of us would be happy to read for you. Perhaps one of us is even in your vicinity. If not, and you're in the States, someone could read for you over the phone. How about giving us a few more details and I'm sure one of us able bodied Tarotists will step up to the plate!! Greetings to the group...I just joined and am looking forward to getting to all of you better and hopefully make some new friends along the way. I've been working with the cards for 15+ years and my favorite deck is the Coleman-Smith deck (aka the Rider-Waite deck). I've attempted to use a wide variety of decks over the years but keep coming back to C-S...I've often felt that I connect with the images because I'm recognizing them from a past life/lives...I used to read professionally in San Fran many years ago, but now use them mostly for myself, although I never say "no" if someone asks me to read for them (bad karma)...Interestingly, I am a Progressive Catholic Christian who is also a Tarotist and I've been invited to present at the Bay Area Tarot Symposium in October 2009 on the topic of being a Christian and using the cards...have recently discovered two very interesting decks that I'm in the process of learning. One is The Tarot of the Saints and the other is the Master Tarot, both of which are "Christian" decks...I alternate between using the Tarot and the Runes for personal growth and development and am always amazed how accurate an oracle both them are...I have a deep respect for the Sacred Mysteries...anyway, am looking forward to getting to know the other members of this group...peace be with each of you.

Hi All...one way to work with the Tarot is to keep it simple..I prefer to teach my people to work with it for personal growth. The SIMPLEST way to read and interpert the CARDS is to read the information that comes in the BOOK with the DECK....KEEP IT SIMPLE it works just fine that way. Also be sure to get a NEW Deck and always protect your cards in silk and a special wood box or ground them with granite...when you do this you keep your cards and the energy in a higher vibrational state and Cleared...Because of Divination as an Art..it does draw in energies or spirit or...processes that need to be looked at or not allowed in..and kept safe and dispelled.....Tarot is a Wonderful TOOL and most Sacred..but do follow the simple rules and disciplines and there will be no bumps in the night..smile......always call upon your personal Guardian Angel before Reading or Drawing a CARD and grow with the process... Use your Intelligence before your psychic....Energies and you will be amazed at how that Sets the Ground work for CLARITY and Understanding..Blessed Be...

Great group. I do Tarot in UK and am writing for a magazine called Spirit and Destiny. Part of my 12 columns are about how you can cosmically order using Tarot so if anyone wants any tips just ask.
