Thank you everyone for all you support, love and prayers. Cedar gave up his desire to live and stopped eatting late last month, huntting all over the house for I-eha and resented being my service dog. I called a woman I knew in Baltimore who had been
sending me emails and calls on dogs who she thought were 'like' I-eha' but I was not ready. For Cedar I went to BARC.org in south Baltimore. Took a lot of visits,,,hour drive from my home and by golly a drive accross the city of Baltimore. This nice Lady
with her service dog Mia met us at BARCs each time. Cedar me a lot of dogs...mostly pitbulls..not exactly what I wanted...i am either into akita cross or hounds.
Circled up in a tight little ball was a brown shy female dog I was told by my guide in
those kennels 'She is not for you, whe is so shy'. I could do shy. On line I saw a visla mix called 'Pancake',,,coming for her, finding she had gotten a home..i was glad for her,,,
but Cedar was still not eatting and getting sadder.

..............................................................................
4 days later at another visit at the same Animal Control, I hoped the circled up shy small female dog would still be there. I went again that L-O-N-G journey, 1 hr south from my home with sad Cedar. Cedar knew what that place was getting upset each time we went there. Cedar KNEW they k-il-led animals there. He was right is was a City Animal Control but it placed a lot of animals to and it was October Special week and I was hunting for a special girl dog I only saw in a small brown ball. A lot of people in front of me on the list.
Margaret didnt bring Mia so she could manage Cedar while I was visiting dogs in the kennel.
Finally it was my turn. First I spotted a mastiff/pit, wow what a great wheelchair dog. The woman who was giving me a tour of the dogs they had at the moment was different then the one who first gave me a tour. As we went out I spotted the frail sky female dog I came to see...but I was stuck introducing cedar to this HUGE mastiff.
The mastiff was put in a dog run and she was AGGRESSIVE nashing her teeth trying to get to Cedar through the chain link fence. I had two volunteers by then 'meet & greeting' the dogs. Cedar was not happy. I asked to have cedar meet a different dog.
I was sheepish by now...having knowledge who I wanted was still in the building. Lots of people had dogs coming out with volunteers to meet the dogs away from all the barking noise.
FINALY the female dog I wanted Cedar to meet was in the outside in the dog run. Cedar and Muneca nose to nose, they liked each other first off. The woman took Muneca out of the run to walk becide Cedar and it was like Music. Cedar gave me THE LOOK..."can we take her home?" I knew Muneca was coming home. Took another week ...chip in the shoulder and spayed to get rid of those puppys in side of her. She was skin & bones with puppys. Could count the top of each of her backbone vertabray and each breath each rib, & pelvis stuck out...and eyes so big remind me of a sugarglider her coat red and white stipe under her neck and all hound.
These are her first pics of home to me and Cedar. The animal control said Muneca was a shepard/hound mix. I tried a lot of names and smiled a lot. So I tried 'Smiley' and she came to it!!!
The thrid day I discovered she KNEW my secret silent dog hand commands ONLY I-Eha and Cedar and me knew. I believe I-Eha's spirit left her sick body and went into 'Smiley's Body at some point and some how the angels brought I-Eha back to me in a different dog. Showed a few of my relatives and they aggree it is erie. From that on for a few days I felt like I was in a dream. It has been 19 days now and I have not come down from the dream yet and each day gets better.

19 days later.....

'Cedar' is Happy again most Important.

Vet fees have not been to bad. lots of vaccines and a BAD throat infections that accounted for her eatting little to no food for a long time before I got her. She is doing well now. She does not bay only snorts like a deer, growls and whines when I am out of her sight. She loves to chases a tennis ball. Vet thinks she will weight about 60-70 lbs....hmmmm and vet thought Cedar would weight 44 while cedar is 80ish yr round all muscle.
