- About Me:
- My name is Marykate and I am 18 years old, from Massachusetts. I will be attending the University of Massachusetts this fall, majoring in Japanese linguistics. Language is a passion of mine, and if I could I would learn EVERY language on the planet! :D
My biggest passion in life is geisha culture. I research avidly and devour any information I can get my hands (or eyes - I love the internet) on. I would like to work among them someday, maybe as a teahouse owner or even a geisha myself. There have been 2 non-Japanese women to become geisha so far, and it is my dream to be #3. Even if I do not accomplish this goal, I still want to live in Japan, in Kyoto, and be near them. My soul has a deep connection there.
I believe very sincerely and earnestly that anything is possible. A lot of my beliefs are a little "out there" but I don't feel the need to prove myself to anyone. I believe in magick and I manifest it into my life daily. I want to share this magick with others. I believe a higher being, possibly my own higher self, is making contact with me, and when the time is right I will share with the world all that I have learned.

Well, I was just replying to a post on the Powerful Intentions site about becoming a geiko, and I guess I just want to get this down for my own sake:

Trying To Commit
I'm having a lot of trouble staying focused, but I keep being drawn back to the Powerful Intentions website, and I think I need to ride this wave out. I think part of me is afraid of having the appearance, home, happiness, life that I want. And this fear is coming from my fear of displeasing others. Karyukai Post 1: A New Beginning
A New Beginning: A New Life
April 1st marks the begining of the Miyako Odori in Kyoto, which runs until the 30th, and because this event is so special in the Karyukai, I want that day to mark the beginning of my new life. I want my life to be a flower-and-willow world, and I want to live like a geiko. I want to live up to my chosen name, my geimyo, Kikuyo ("chrysanthemum world").
I am going to:
+ Eat better; meaning that I will eat smaller portions and healthier food.
+ Drink only water and n… Continue

My List of Things I am Manifesting!
These are in no particular order, chronological or of importance, just how they pop up in my head. I'll update this as I think of more!
