- About Me:
- I remember starting out in life believing in my magnificence. Somewhere along the way I got trapped into living the lie, that I was destined to live a mediocre life and believing them that shared that view.
Nearly a decade ago I began to reconnect with my divinity and began to love and accept myself again. Today IAM on the path, returning to my magnificent glory. It is still here, buried under years of denial.
My story is being written, from now on, by IAM That, IAM, the author.
I love to play and write music, these days the Blues, and folky stuff. I play acoustic and electric guitar and blues harmonica, for more than 35 years. Though not professionally for a while. Been thinking about starting another blues band, if I can find the right sidemen. In what seems like a lifetime ago I also played flute and saxophone, but a burglary stopped that. I still play my music like I am a horn player. It's a mind-set that Eddie Harris taught me back in the civil-rights era. Our house was a jazz musician's hang-out and I learned to not be awed by greatness, but instead to emulate it. I'm still working on that, heh!
I love to cook, and I am fearless in the kitchen. I fish and camp and travel whenever possible. I am a strong advocate of eating locally grown foods and fresh living foods. I was given less than three years to live in 1989 and the first words outof my mouth were, "I have a second opinion,and mine is the only one that counts." Little did I know then that those words would become my mantra. I drink a gallon of water every day, or try to,and that has given me a tangible thing to attribute my healing, but deep inside I know that it's really the combination of that and the imaging I keep forefront in my mind of BEing healthy and happy, and gratitude for every day of life.
Hurricane Wilma proved to be one of the great challenges of my life, and I can now see the end of the tunnel. "How do you eat an elephant?" "One bite at a time!"
I have recently started re-connecting with the Tarot. And studying the esoteric knowledge from the cards regarding the process of manifestation from the nothing into the something. It's all there! Wands is the suit of Imagination, the vision (fire) and then that causes an e-motion (water) - Cups - after that it's time for inspired action and intellectual mind over matter (air) - Swords - and conflict, contrast, challenges &c., and if one stays true to the vision ultimately the physical results are ready for harvest (earth) - Coins.
Believe in Magic!

Christmas Day and review of the Challenges this past Quarter
I haven't been very active on Powerful Intentions since mid-August.
Became unemployed (officially) and have to admit to quite a bit of stress about it.
However, reviewing the challenges I have been facing the past several months I have come ot one inescapable conclusion. No matter how dire the phantom future may seem in my mind, the reality when it arrives never is actually as severe as the phantom.
