- About Me:
- I am a simple, peaceful, happy soul who lives in India. My long name is Shuddhaanandaa Brahmachari, but everyone calls me Baba. My only goal is to serve the God in those who are suffering in this world. I founded a mission in 1985 which runs street schools for homeless children like those you all saw in the movie Slum Dog Millionaire. We also have medical vans that serve the indigent on the streets of Calcutta, and use a concept of micro-credit to help the women in the villages support themselves, their families and their communities. I do not believe in charity, but I believe in helping people help themselves. I also have written a book called Making Your Mind Your Best Friend which is very popular all over the world. I travel every year to various places to teach stress management, and to remind everyone that their Essence is Peace and Happiness.
