Are You Building Your Bridge To The Other Side?

Everyone has goals.

Everyone has dreams.

Yet, for many people, although they really desire their goal
or dream, it just seems out of reach or unattainable.

With the success of the movie 'The Secret' many people are
creating vision boards, setting intentions, and visualizing
their desired outcome - without any luck. No matter what they
do, they don't seem to be able to move closer to their goal
or dream.

Sometimes, when the goal or dream seems to be too far away,
it is hard for people to get into the space of 'already
having it'. Either their mind gets in the way with thoughts
of the goal or dream being impossible, or they can't see the
path that will take them to their desired end, so they feel
stuck.

You see, when something seems impossible then we don't really
believe it can happen, so our actions can be self-sabotaging.
Although we may really want the end result, since we don't
believe we can obtain it, our daily activities reflect what
we really believe.

On the flip side, if there is an aspect of our desired result
that we are not comfortable with, then we may unconsciously
sabotage our efforts in order to avoid the aspect we don't
want.

One way to start to move from 'here' to 'there' is to build
a bridge. A bridge that your mind can use to narrow the gap
and to be able to begin to see the end as possible instead
of impossible.

The bridge simply consists of any statement that you can tell
yourself to help ease your mind and let a little trickle of
belief begin to form.

Simple statements like:

~ Others have done it, so it isn't impossible.
~ Tomorrow is another day.
~ Just because I don't know the steps NOW, doesn't mean I won't
figure it out tomorrow or the next day.
~ Maybe, this worry is for nothing. Maybe I just don't see the
whole picture.

Using statements like these give the mind a place to switch focus
and will allow your mind to remain open to ideas and possibilities.

So if you find yourself unable to jump from 'here' to 'there',
build a bridge to ease yourself and your thoughts closer to your
end desire.
