Non-profit green company to encourage bio-diverse organic forest gardens that sustain themselves once they are planted.
Giant Goals
• To teach people to grow much of their own food in California and other temperate areas, where it can be done year round organically and pesticide free.
• To encourage sharing of yards, lots and land by those who own them but do not have time to grow gardens themselves with those who want to grow gardens to share food in a neighborly fashion.
• To encourage self-sufficiency as opposed to relying on artificially preserved food that is not fresh and is shipped in and purchased and wastes fuel, money and other resources that could be used elsewhere.
• To encourage a new economy based on green eco sensible activities that are low impact to the environment and are sustainable for future generations rather than a money and profit based economy that wastes and destroys the planet and all the species on it.
• To get every piece of cultivated land that now has grass, and ornamental plants on it converted to sustainable food crops grown in an eco sensible manner so that we can eat all the healthy, fresh, organic, plant based foods we want for free. This includes private homes, schools, corporations, libraries and other public buildings.
• To encourage improved health and sanity and kindness through a predominantly plant based diet.
• To end all factory farming of animal products within 10 years.
Smaller more specific goals
• To encourage saving heirloom seeds and sharing them with a series of seed banks around the world existing or created as we go along.
• Online and local study groups, book groups.
• Encourage passing legislation to making sharing heirloom seeds legal; and protecting us from genetically engineered food products.
• To teach kids about growing their own food with indoor and outdoor gardens
• Bringing gardens to middle schools, high schools and college campuses by having volunteers who want to learn to garden help grow them.
• To teach about vegan nutrition, the importance of rock dust in reminiralizing soil and how natural minerals affect our health as opposed to taking supplements.
• To teach how calcium deficiencies, hormone problems, cancer and other ill health issues are really caused or aggravated by lack of fresh plant-based, mineral-rich foods and too many fats, animal products and refined products.
• How food cravings can be cured and deficiencies solved through the simple addition of composting and rock dust and locally grown foods.
• Find the communal farmers film again.
• Have speakers, film festivals, food preparation classes
• Encourage more community gardens lots through out southern ca and the world
• Get a garden going for animal acres or partner with them somehow
