We each live in our own individual world. It may not look like it, but 6 billion people live in 6 billion separate realities.

The way we see and experience the world is determined by how we grew up, the attitudes, opinions, beliefs and limitations we were given. In other words, by the conditioning we received to our minds and emotions.

This conditioning effects the way in which we see things. It is as though we are looking out of a window with curved glass - everything appears distorted. This distortion is created by our conditioning.

When you are ‘educated’ you form ‘hard wiring’ in your brain. Literally. From then on, anything that does not match that wiring is ‘wrong’. And, incidentally, you then assume you are superior (to those whose wiring is different), and ‘they’ are more primitive. Conditioning is the main thing that reduces your feeling of freedom and happiness, not the people, places, and events around us.

It isn’t so

We think that which we see is the way things are, but it is not so. We are actually seeing through the distortion of our conditioned mind and this puts a spin on to our whole life and how we perceive ourselves. It is a huge handicap and certainly prevents us from reaching our maximum potential.

When we begin to disconnect from our mind and its fixed opinions an unexplainable mystery happens - life gets easier and better and better. Everything starts to click into place. Anger and judgment dissipate, a feeling of freedom descends and a gentle peace starts to permeate our whole being.

With that phenomenon comes another phase that keeps us moving and growing. We begin to recognise that life presents us with what we need to evolve into our greatest potential as a human being.

To take advantage of this possibility: be more adventurous, experiment, take a few risks. More aliveness happens in unpredictable situations. You only have one short life, and this is it. Live it to the full and don’t take it too seriously.

Have fun!

Wow .. Thank you Karen..
You are a very good writer.. and I love the direction of your thoughts..
I am trying hard to keep my own thinking in the same direction.. but my goodness there are times where I feel so out of control with my thoughts.

Thank you Connie for your kind words. I think our thoughts like to scatter in many directions, and there are days when it seems hard to reel them in. Mind you, if our thoughts didn't scatter we wouldn't be able to use them to gain clarity and refection upon the things we enjoy.

This is an excellent post. Oftentimes we trade one form of conditioning or education for another. The New Age or New Thought community has programming also. In order to maintain our bliss, we have to constantly evolve beyond thoughts and words.

The Secret really is that we created the "ego" because we forgot that we are god. This means that slogans and other ideas are just guidelines. What works for one person may or may not work for us,

If we have no bliss, we are on the wrong path. All roads of the inner heart or internal guidance system lead US to where we need to be. The "Law of Attraction" would be better called the "Art of Attraction".

Gravity is a law. It is not dependant on belief. Attracting what we desire into our lifes is an art, not a science or a law. Magnatism is a science and opposite polarities attract. Similar polarities repel. That's science.

We each have within us true and accurate knowledge of self and the universe. When we stop looking for explanations and laws that come from the outside world, we gain what we were meant to have all along, bliss and the security of knowing what is real and lasting and enjoy peace of mind and positive expectation.

PEACE!

Hi Karen

I know what you mean about being conditioned. My family never thought I would amount to much until I put myself through university. Not only did my perception begin to change about myself but my family began to see me differently. It was more like, "Who is this person?" Of course university didn't fix a lot of the confidence problems. I'm still working through those but I do have more peace within now.

Regards
Deb
