- Hello,
My name is Kathleen and I'm a Work At Home Mom (WAHM). My area's of expertise are working with children as a full time child care giver as well as running my part time home based business.
Both of my sons have Type 1 Diabetes, so it's very important to me that I am home with them. They each get daily shots and finger pokes, so Diabetes has become the "third child we didn't plan for". My dream is to phase out the child care business and focus on my internet business. I am very grateful for the wonderful families I work for. But this will enable me spend more time with my family and freedom from so many diapers I currently have to change.
Before children, my jobs varied from longshore (yup, did that!) to medical receptionist. I've had sales jobs from selling pictures out of the back of my car to selling discount healthcare plans. But the thing that's eluded me was proper training so I can succeed. I have that now and have seen amazing results.
My life is full, fun and happy, I've been attending the "University of Hard Knocks" since I graduated from high school. I married right out of school and after 6 years of an abusive relationship, fled for my life and lived in a shelter for battered women. There I learned how to live again and reinvent myself. Since that time, I've re-married and as mentioned above, have two beautiful children.
My interests are reading, writing, painting, hiking and pretty much anything outdoors with my family. We live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest and love it!

The attitude of gratitude
I have learned the importance of having the attitude of gratitude. Every day when I get up, I say "thank you" for all I have in my life. Even back when I lived in the shelter for battered women, I was grateful not only to have my life, but to have taken it back. I learned from not only the councilors, but from the survivors. I have two green pepper plants that have one pepper on them. They've finally reached full size (the plants) just in time for the end of the season! *laughs*
We've been finding real bargain buys in the store on this shelf dedictated to "old produce". It's dirt cheap so I clean them out, take it home and freeze it. I've gotten quite a bit of broccoli this way and now some cauliflower.
