Sometimes people worry that they have been telling the story of what they do not want for such a long time that they now do not have the time in their lives to make up for all those years of focusing upon the shortage of money---but they have no cause for worry. Although it is true that you cannot go backward and undo all of that negative thinking, there is no reason to do that even if you could, because all of your power is in your now. As you find a better-feeling thought right now, your poin… Continue

Tell everyone you know: "My happiness depends on me, so you're off the hook." And then demonstrate it. Be happy, no matter what they're doing. Practice feeling good, no matter what. And before you know it, you will not give anyone else responsibility for the way you feel—and then, you'll love them all. Because the only reason you don't love them, is because you're using them as your excuse to not feel good. Excerpted from a workshop in Asheville, NC on Saturday, April 30th, 2005

When you reach for the thought that feels better, the Universe is now responding differently to you because of that effort. And so, the things that follow you get better and better, too. So it gets easier to reach for the thought that feels better, because you are on ever-increasing, improving platforms that feel better. Find thoughts that feel good, because it is inevitable that you are going to always be moving toward something. So why not be moving toward something that is pleasing? You can't cease to vibrate, and Law of Attraction will not stop responding to the vibration that you are offering. So, expansion is inevitable. You provide it, whether you know you do, or not. The only question is, what is the standard of joy that you are demanding for yourself? From your Nonphysical perspective, it's a high, high… Continue

Living life perfectly, from our perspective is awareness, awareness of how I feel. So that I am aware if I am fighting the current or going with it. That is THE best definition of perfect living that we can think of. If you say, "I am where I am. And I've been doing what I have been doing. And what's manifested has manifested but I am still an active flow-er and I choose this - I am still an active flow-er and I choose this." Then your life is good now and getting better and better and better a… Continue

It actually began as an overall spiritual group, originally a Conversations with God book study group that no longer had a meeting place. But Mark's and my exuberance concerning Abraham-Hicks somewhat carried the day.
Via our intention, it is an Abraham group, through and through, but we always welcome people with other perspectives and differing points of view. We're reminded via Abe that we're not here to create "sameness," but to rather explore, expand, and take thought forward.
One man apologized recently as he left our meeting, saying that he felt he had shared too much of his Buddhist beliefs and had "upset some people." Mark and I told him that we felt his comments added to the liveliness of the discussion and encouraged him to share whatever he wanted in the future.
Still...we usually bring everything back to "What would Abraham say about that?" and it's a fun challenge for us long-time Abers to see what we can come up with.
Our group is nearly five years old now, and it brings us continual joy. :)
Starting an Abraham group is as easy as falling off the proverbial log. Mark and I simply chose a time and invited interested people to our home for the purpose of discussing the Abe teachings. We have a chat-n-chew finger food potluck from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m., and then we begin our meeting at 7:30. We're currently taking turns reading and discussing Money, and the Law of Attraction. (We have so much discussion that it will take us months to make it through the book, but we don't care - there's no set time frame.)
In the past, when not reading an Abe book together, we've read from an Abraham quotebook that I compiled, using quotes I'd clipped from the Abraham-Hicks quarterly journals. I have the quotes organized alphabetically by topic, so a person can flip to a particular topic that they might want to focus on during their time to read.
Before using the quotebook, I printed out and clipped out quotes from the Abraham Yahoo Group, placed them in a basket, and people drew a quote randomly, read it to the group, and then we discussed.
Sometimes I play an excerpt from an Abe CD or tape, but for the most part, we read together and discuss. We start each meeting by passing around a little wooden heart that says "Joy," and each person, in turn, shares something for which they're appreciative.
We keep the meetings relaxed and casual, and people leave whenever they need to - usually around 9:00 or 9:30 p.m. Others stay later. We schedule our meeetings for the first and third Fridays of each month, and I send out an email reminder a few days before each meeting.
We have gradually built up to having as many as 20+ people at each meeting, but there are at least 50 people who come from time to time. Mark and I always feel exhilarated after each meeting, and we always see it as the perfect unfolding, whether it's 8 people or 20. I have posted notices of our group online, but it has mainly grown via word-of-mouth.
All is darn well,
